Why are you a part of BOCtm? God called me into the youth ministry the summer before my senior year in high school. I'm passionate about connecting God and teens, and I love the teens here. They're cooler than a clown car on fire!

What do you enjoy doing for fun? Besides hanging out with my monkeys (teens), I love film, video games, eating out, reading comics and hanging out with my family. This is a little embarrassing, but I've been dreaming about writing a comic book (graphic novel) a lot recently and working on that. I know, I'm a geek.

What do you do for a living? I get to work with teens (7th-12th graders) at BOC. I teach, both in the classroom and out, lead worship, plan cool events, and get to hang out with some of the best teenagers in America. Can you believe they pay me to do this? (I also help out a little with the whole church, especially the Children Ministry.)

Where did you grow up? I was born in Illinois, but lived most of my life in Arlington, Texas (where the Rangers play and the Cowboys are moving to next year). I went to college in Oklahoma and I lived for a while in Indiana. But I don't know if I've grown up yet.

What were you like in High School? I was a band geek (not to be confused with a nerd). I was pretty arrogant, but hopefully I've out grown a lot of that. I wasn't very popular, but people knew who I was, and I had about 20 good friends. Sadly, I wasn't living all out for God, and I made some really dumb choices.

If you could do anything as a career, what would it be? I'm doing it! I'm called by God to be a youth minister, and the scripture is true: "Seek first God and his kingdom and then [everything you need] will be given to you!"

What kinds of music do you like best? Rock, for the most part. I like almost all kinds of music, but stripped-down, hard-driving rock n roll is my favorite.

What kinds of movies do you like best? I couldn't choose a genre I like best. Suspence, Drama, Comedy, Mystery, Sci-Fi, Documentary... I like almost every type of film. But I absolutely love movies with a big twist or reveal.

What's your favorite color? Gray. I know, most people wouldn't really think of gray as a great color, but they're wrong.

What's your favorite drink? Coca-Cola: The nectar of the gods

What's your favorite food? Have you seen me? I love food! How could I possibly choose a favorite?

What was the last movie you saw in the theater? The Dark Knight . It was pretty dang cool. Heath Ledger deserves an oscar. He was the Joker.

What was the last CD you listened to? Americano by Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers, and before that Disciplined Breakdown by Collective Soul. I listen to my Zune on shuffle a lot.

If you could go anywhere for vacation where would it be? Walt Disney World or any of the overseas Disney parks. If I could take a month and money was no object, I'd spend a ton of time in Australia.

What things are you in to that you'd like to introduce other people to? Besides Christ? Comic books, Roger Clyne music, Disney World, Black Crowes music, zuppa tuscana at Olive Garden, and living debt free.

What bands did you listen to in middle school and high school that you'd be embarrassed to admit now? I listened to some pop music (top 40 trash) until about the beginning of my Sophomore year. Then, thanks to something stupid I did (see the last question), I started to really think about what I was listening to.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be? The ability to pause time. No more snooze button. If not that, telekenesis.

What's the most embarrassing thing you've ever done? When I was in High School, a top 40 station called KISS FM was doing a call in "Kiss My ___" show where callers would tell other people or groups to kiss the most common body part associated with that phrase. I called in and "on behalf of the band" told our band director to "kiss our butts." (He had been pushing us pretty hard that week.) Well, the band director heard about it and was understandably furious. Not knowing who did it, he ripped into the whole band and made us understand why he was so demanding; we stunk. To this day, only 3 people knew it was me. Sorry, Mr Lamb. I was wrong.
